Join us on Friday 29th May for Uplink 14 with Battlestar Galactica actors Tahmoh Penikett and Tricia Helfer! We’ll be live from 8pm (BST) / 9pm (CEST) at our YouTube channel here (don’t forget to subscribe!).

Our sci-fi special, ‘On Being Human’ will explore the nature of humanity in the context of artificial intelligence, robotics, and our next steps into the unknown with two truly special guests. Anyone who knows the reimagined Battlestar Galactica will know it wasn’t just a sci-fi drama set in space. Through the course of its human versus Cylon adventure, it asked big questions about the meaning of life, what it is to be human, and through its characters’ many moral and ethical dilemmas, it left an indelible mark on sci-fi and television history.

Tahmoh Penikett is a Canadian actor best known for playing Electronic Countermeasures Officer Karl ‘Helo’ Agathon on SyFy’s 2004 television series Battlestar Galactica. He’s appeared in the TV series SupernaturalDollhouse, as well as the time travel show, Continuum. Tricia Helfer is also from Canada. An actress, voice actress and former model, she’s best known for playing the Cylon model Number Six in Battlestar Galactica. She also voiced Sarah Kerrigan in the StarCraft video games and played Charlotte Richards/Mom in Lucifer.
