UPLINK 17: YES, IT IS ROCKET SCIENCE WITH KATE UNDERHILL & TREVOR MAHLMANN
Join us on Wednesday 17th June for Uplink 17 with ESA jet propulsion engineer Kate Underhill and professional US astro/rocket photographer Trevor Mahlmann for everything you ever wanted to know about rocket launches! We’ll be live from 2pm (BST) / 3pm (CEST) here (don’t forget to subscribe).
Currently working as a jet propulsion engineer for ESA, Kate Underhill will be familiar to Space Rocks live fans due to her brilliant and engrossing talk on rocket science at Space Rocks London live last year. With an undergrad thesis on space propulsion, Kate undertook an MSC in specialised space engineering masters during which she worked as a propulsion specialist for various group projects. Her first job was as a young graduate trainee at the ESA-ESTEC propulsion department in the Netherlands – which launch her into a life of rocket science!
Trevor Mahlmann is a professional photographer whose stunning images of astronomy and rocket launches will be well known to keen space launch watchers. Trevor shoots primarily for tech and science website Ars Technica.
