ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti began her career in the Italian Air Force as a fighter pilot assigned to the 51st Bomber Wing in Istrana. She was selected as an ESA astronaut from a pool of over 8,000 applicants in 2009, earning her initial qualifictations in EVA and robotics – as well as certification as a flight engineer for the Russian Soyuz spacecraft.


In 2012 she was assigned to the crew of Expedition 42/43 aboard the International Space Station, spending 200 days aboard for the Futura mission – a long duration flight opportunity. She now serves on the technical evaluation board for exploration-related projects at the European Astronaut Centre, and is also  crew representative for ESA in the Lunar Orbital Platform Gateway project.


From Oregon, USA, Katee Sackhoff is an actor best known for her thrilling portrayal of Lieutenant Kara ‘Starbuck’ Thrace for the acclaimed reimagined Battlestar Galactica TV series of 2004. With an illustrious TV and film career that’s seen her appearing on 24, ER, The Flash, Another Life (not to mention an upcoming role in the forthcoming season 2 of The Mandalorian). Katee has also appeared in a number of leading roles in movies like 2016’s Don’t Knock Twice and 2036 Origin Unknown. She has been nominated for four Saturn Awards, winning in 2005 for Best Supporting Actress.
