Space Rocks returns to the ESA Open Day at ESTEC with The Expanse star Steven Strait

We are delighted to announce that we’ll be back at ESA’s ESTEC Open Day this October with a very special guest. Actor and producer Steven Strait, aka Captain James Holden of The Expanse, will be joining us along with a full roster of events to celebrate ESA’s mission to the stars.  Earlier this year we took Steven on his first ever zero gravity parabolic flight aboard a reduced gravity plane in Bordeaux, France. You can see the first episode of the Life In Zero-G mini-documentary we made with Steven right here next week.

Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, 5-6 October, at ESA’s ESTEC facility in Noordwijk in the Netherlands, the theme for this year’s ESA Open Day is Generation Space: Shaping the Future Together which will explore how it takes a community to realise ESA’s vision for the future. As in previous years, the goal of the event is to give people first-hand experience of the cutting edge of space science with the help of scientists, engineers, astronauts and space professionals.

Check out our stage from last year’s event here.

Registration to attend will be opened later this summer, so save the date and keep an eye on Space Rocks socials for further details.
