SPACE ROCKS TO HOST STEVEN WILSON ALBUM LAUNCH
We’re thrilled to announce that Space Rocks will be hosting a Dolby Atmos launch of the new album from world-renowned producer and visionary musician Steven Wilson. The Overview – a concept album presented as two longform tracks – was inspired by The Overview Effect following a conversation between Steven and Space Rocks founder Alexander Milas.
Hosted by Space Rocks’ Alexander Milas and astrophysicist Mark McCaughrean at London’s BFI IMAX cinema on February 25th, the launch will feature a screening of the album’s accompanying film – produced by Steven’s regular collaborator Miles Skarin. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion between Alexander, Mark and Steven along with solar and space physicist, Miho Janvier and filmmaker Miles Skarin. Followers of Space Rocks’ Uplink livestream will remember Miho from her appearance on episode 19 on the ESA Solar Orbiter.
Tickets for this very special event are already sold out, but we’ll be giving away a pair, so watch this space and Space Rocks socials at Facebook, Instagram and Bluesky for updates.
Steven Wilson’s The Overview is released on 14th March on Fiction Records on CD / LP / Blu-ray / D2C exclusive boxset / D2C exclusive red vinyl LP + poster / retail exclusive mint colour LP / digital platforms. Steven will also be taking to the road for a full UK and European tour during May and June of this year. For more details, see his official website.
